What Is Magnesium Sulphate Board (MSB)?

Magnesium Sulphate Board (MSB), also known as chloride-free magnesium oxide board, is a high-performance building material made using magnesium sulphate (MgSO₄). Unlike traditional MgO boards that may contain chlorides, MSB is engineered to be non-corrosive, dimensionally stable, and highly durable, making it well-suited to modern construction environments.

MSB is manufactured through a controlled process that produces a dense, strong, and naturally fire-resistant panel. It is widely used as an alternative to gypsum, fibre cement, and calcium silicate boards in applications where fire performance, moisture resistance, and long-term reliability are essential.
